The Clinton County Historical Association Museum at 98 Ohio Avenue, Old Base Museum Campus Commemorates the Battle of Plattsburgh With the Aikin Rifle Story, new exhibits, Arto Monaco’s historic diorama and Tours of the val. The museum will  open September 9th to 12th from 10 am to 4 pm. There will be tours of the Oval each day at 1:30 pm.

CCHA welcomes Martin Aikin descendant John Barton and family to the area for the commemoration of the Battle of Plattsburgh and with special appreciation for the transfer of Martin Aikin’s rifle to the care of the Association. Opening on September 9 th at 10 am, museum visitors will see new exhibits on every floor and a redesigned gift shop making available the largest collection of local history books in the area. Every gallery is handicapped accessible.

The museum will be open from 10 to 4 pm, from September 9th to 12th. Visitors are asked to register in advance for the tours of the Oval. Researchers are welcome to make appointments to use our library and reference files and to request access to collections. All visitors are required to wear masks.
