The Clinton County Historical Association and the Saranac Chapter NSDAR present:
Patriot Founders of Clinton County With Desmond Meacham at 6:00 pm, Tuesday, September 6th, 2022 House of Prayer, 63 Broad Street, Plattsburgh.
Nearly 150 patriots of the Revolutionary War founded different towns, villages, and hamlets in Clinton County. This information was gathered during the Patriot-Founders of Clinton County project sponsored by the Saranac Chapter NSDAR Internship program and hosted by the Clinton County Historical Association. Researcher Desmond Meacham will share the stories of ten of these founders including the Thew brothers of Ausable and Peru, Jean LaFramboise of Chazy, Louis Gosselin of Champlain and more across the county, along with a general overview of the project’s findings.
Questions and a discussion of this research will be welcomed. This event is free and open to the public.
